Cinde Sulam was established in 2006. Its core business is producing handmade ribbon embroidery bags. It was conceived with the aim of training local housewives, school dropouts and teenagers with special needs within its neighborhood, mostly females. However, as of today Cinde Sulam has trained over 120 ribbon embroidery craftswomen, diversifying its product range into table runners, cushion covers, tissue box covers and more.
In addition to these valuable own trained resources, Cinde has strong and proven collaboration partnerships with other committed producers and suppliers. Thanks to the initiative of the Indonesian Ministry of Cooperatives & SMEs, Cinde joined the “Carrefour CSR Programme” in 2007, thus entering the modern retail marketplace.
